What is the significance of the egg on the seder plate? I find the usage of an egg troubling due to the pagan customs of eggs during this time of year. I have read that customs that were adopted by pagans but come from jews are actually supposed to be stopped so that it does not give the appearance of paganism instead of Torah. So anyways, what about the egg on the seder plate?
