And if one says 'but your mind must always been clean when wearing tefillin.." is this TO SAY that if you're not wearing tefillin your mind no longer must always be clean/pure? Hhas w'shalom. Why do we not wear tefillin on Shaboth/the Sabbath? Because the Sabbath day itself is a sign...the whole day. The sad truth is that most people fear mankind more than fear the Maker of mankind.. and therefore strive to perceive His will in a manner that will fit in with their fear of man. HaShem wants our whole heart, not half of it... ALL DAY.... at all times POSSIBLE to fulfill the commandment, whatever commandment it is.
