There is no greater community in Klal Israel in which to be a geir. I truly feel for those who have to come through the disgusting experience delivered to those seeking conversion in Ashkenazi or Syrian systems. Proving my point - most Ashkenazi geirim are ashamed of their status and the community wants them to keep it a "secret" - haval! They whipser behind closed door about the "geirim", being privileged to so many of those first-hand, from the elitest Ashkenazim. G-d said 36 times, more than any other miswah, to love the geir. The ashkenazi should be privileged to meet one, let alone have the lofty task of bringing one to conversion. The Yemenite community, due specifically to their ancient mesorah and influence of Rambam, which always accepted geirim and even sought them out, contrary to modern corrupted opinions. You will not experience the level of chesed, acceptance, and actually living the words that are written in this book we say we live by than in a Yemenite kehilla - a non-assimmilated one that is. Conversions should ONLY be done by Teymanim, as all others don't seem to have the worthiness to work with such special members of the klal.
