Temoni Havdolla in English - Siyah Yerushalayim
"I shall lift up a cup of salvation and I shall call out in the name of
the L-rd. L-rd G-D, illuminate for us. Give us aid against the adversary for the
salvation of man is futile. Through G-D we shall gather might and He will
trample our adversaries. With G-D, I will praise a word. In G-D I trusted, I
will not fear. What can man do to me? Arise, shine, for your light has come, and
the glory of the L-rd has shown upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the
Earth and a gross darkness the kingdoms, and the L-rd shall shine upon you, and
His glory shall appear over you. And nations shall go by your light and kings by
the brilliance of your shine (Is 60:1-3). Your sun shall be no longer set,
neither shall your moon be gathered in, for the L-rd shall be to you for an
everlasting light and the days of your mourning shall be completed (Is 60:20).
Fear not, O worm of Jacob, the number of Israel; “I have helped you” says
the L-rd and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. Behold, I have made you a
new grooved threshing sledge, with sharp points; you shall thresh the mountains
and crush them fine, and you shall make hills like chaff. You shall winnow them
and a wind shall carry them off and a Tempest shall scatter them and you shall
rejoice with the L-rd, with the Holy One of Israel shall you praise yourself (Is
41:14). The smallest shall become a thousand and the least a mighty nation; I am
the L-rd, in its time I will hasten it (Is 60:22). And their seed shall be
known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all who see them
shall recognize them that they are seed that the L-rd blessed. I will rejoice
with the L-rd. My NAFASH shall exult with ELOHAI for he has attired me with
garments of salvation, with a robe of righteousness He has enwrapped me; like a
bridegroom, who --like a priest-- dons garments of glory, and like a bride, who
adorns herself with jewelry. For the Earth, which gives forth it’s
plants, and like a garden that causes its seeds to grow, so shall the L-rd G-D
cause righteousness and praise to grow opposite all the nations. For the Jews
there was light, gladness, joy, and honor (Esther 8:16). I will bless the L-rd
at all times; His praise is always in my mouth (Psalm 34:2). "
